It is light weight (8.1 oz) and thus is easily transportable and virtually unbreakable; whereas, most currently available plastic and wire type mute holders are easily breakable and awkward to mount.
The Mute Master mute holder is attached to standard "orchestral , rehearsal and stage (dance) band music stands" and will hold up to four mutes.
